Record in video and analyse yourself. Check the movement of your hands, how many times you scratch your head or touch some part of the face, the speed of your speech, the emphasis, the vocalization. If you can count on someone you trust, ask them if there is a lot of difference between how you express yourself in the video and how you normally you do it.

Action Plan
  • STEP 1.-. The first step is to record a video about some speech that you have to give to your work team, you must prepare it and record yourself. Another option would be to record some of the meetings with your work team

  • STEP 2.- Check the movements of your hands, how many times you scratch your head or touch some part of the face, the speed of your speech, the emphasis, the vocalization.

  • STEP 3.- Once analysed the failures in verbal and non-verbal communication, re-record not repeating the failures you had in verbal and non-verbal communication. You can repeat it until you see that you do it correctly.
