How did you get in contact with the 40 Challenges Project?
I work part-time at a sports club here in Dublin. Some of the I & F staff run soft skills programmes in our club. They suggested to have a look at the 40 Challenges project info and app.
What Soft Skills where more attractive for you?
Decision making. I used to work in a company, but now I am at a point in my life where I am an adult learner in a College in the North side of the city and I am finishing this year. I have to make hard decisions as to where I am going. Uncertainty about the future brings its own challenges, particularly in the middle of this pandemic, when I am trying to get a job.
How many Challenges were you able to fulfill?
I was able to fulfill a few challenges. Some of them took more time than others, but they all helped me to see things I can improve.
What concrete results did you get implementing these Challenges?
Not sure exactly what results I can obtain yet, but all I can say is that the challenges have been a source of inspiration for me.
Do you think your work as an entrepreneur will improve?
As I explained, I am at a stage in my life where I am finishing my adult studies, but I worked in a company before. Now this is making me think about the possibility of starting my own business, perhaps something related to online marketing, although my preference would be teaching adults and immigrants.
Would you recommend the 40 Challenges Project to others? Why?
I would definitely recommend the app to other people I know. I have already started doing that. If the app helped me that means that it can help others. Some family members run their own businesses and this can be a helpful tool to get them thinking of team work, leadership, conflict management, etc. I am also sure that they would love the module on adaptability these days!
