How did you get in contact with the 40 Challenges Project?
A member of the team at the University of Córdoba contacted me as he was looking for the profile of entrepreneur and people who wanted to reinforce his training. In particular, I am an autonomous entrepreneur with several years of experience, but without higher education or training in this field, I spent some time ago from worker to entrepreneur.
What Soft Skills where more attractive for you?
Customer service and conflict management. The first is because it is difficult to make customers loyal, the street is very hard, and it is easy to lose some customers. Specially today, with the opinions of social networks you must take much care of the reputation. Conflict management is also quite important for me because I permanently have problems with employees and customers, today everyone protests for everything...
How many Challenges were you able to fulfill?
I have advanced in the two cited soft skill challenges, but it is difficult to have time to be methodical and spend time on these activities.
What concrete results did you get implementing these Challenges?
For example, I have been conscious that you always have to pick up the phone. And raise awareness of the people who work with me.
Do you think your work as an entrepreneur will improve?
Yes, it can improve with some of the readings and videos that are very useful and make me think. I am keener on learning in the street than with books, but it is a good idea that the materials are accessible from a mobile phone.
Would you recommend the 40 Challenges Project to others? Why?
Yes, of course. Although the app has some bugs and I have seen some words appear untranslated, when the APP is finished I also want my employees to use it and should improve on several of the skills that are proposed in the project.
On vacation (if I can take them this year...) I will try to review all the skills and do as many activities proposed in the project as possible.
